Choose the right source
AI enhancement works best when the source still contains recoverable structure. Keep the original file, avoid repeated compression, and identify whether blur, noise, low resolution, color damage, or scanning artifacts are the primary problem.
Enhance in controlled passes
Crop and rotate first, remove obvious dust or background distractions, then test one enhancement setting. Compare eyes, skin, hair, text, logos, edges, and repeated patterns at 100 percent rather than trusting the preview.
Know what the model invented
An enhancer may synthesize plausible detail instead of recovering historical truth. Do not use invented facial, product, document, or evidentiary details as factual records. Keep the source beside the export.
Prepare for downstream generation
For AI image generation or image-to-video work, use the enhanced file only after checking identity and geometry. Compare PicWish with Picsart, Krea, or Polox AI using the same source and delivery size.
